Domestic violence suspect in custody following pursuit: PCSO
Authorities from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed the apprehension of an individual after a pursuit culminating in the far reaches of the East Valley.
The pursuit unfolded subsequent to a distressing felony domestic violence incident that transpired in San Tan Valley on the morning of November 21, prompting deputies to seek a person they described as a “violent suspect.”
The suspect, later identified as 39-year-old Vincente Gallegos, was located in Mesa and, upon discovery, initiated a vehicular pursuit. The chase escalated as the suspect forcefully collided with one PCSO vehicle, engaged in a wrong-way confrontation with another patrol vehicle, and caused damage to a third patrol vehicle.
PCS0 officials reported that law enforcement successfully intercepted the suspect’s vehicle in the vicinity of a roundabout along State Route 88 in Apache Junction. Fortunately, while all deputies involved are undergoing precautionary checks, there have been no significant injuries reported among them.
