Phoenix nonprofit that helps newborns scrambling after funding cuts

Hushabye Nursery, a Phoenix nonprofit that cares for substance-exposed newborns and helps parents get clean, is set to lose $500,000 in grants from federal funding cuts. The organization’s executive director, Tara Sundem, says it costs the charity a quarter of what it costs in the neonatal intensive care unit to treat the newborns.
