Man dead from shooting involving DPS trooper on Tempe freeway
DPS says the driver refused commands and barricaded himself inside the car during a traffic stop. Shortly after, DPS says the man pulled out a handgun, which is when the trooper-involved shooting happened. Firefighters pronounced the man dead at the scene.
