Judge to decide whether border rancher George Alan Kelly can beretried

A southern Arizona judge is weighing whether border rancher George Alan Kelly can be tried again for shooting and killing a Mexican man on his property. The first trial was declared a mistrial in April because jurors couldn’t reach a unanimous decision. Deputy County Attorney Kimberly Hunley said the prosecution supported dismissing the case now, but want the option to retry it if circumstances change.
