DCS under fire for cutting security funding for visitation center

The Department of Child Safety said it won’t pay for a security guard to oversee court-ordered visitations at a Phoenix visitation center. DCS ended the contract with the company that provides security for the center which will save the agency $5 million. DCS claims the service is no longer necessary but not everyone is convinced.
