Group scuba dives in Salt River to clean up, find lost items
A Valley nonprofit goes on scuba dives in the Salt River in Mesa to clean up the water and help reunite lost items with their owners. Since last summer, the squad said it’s collected 8,000 lbs of trash and about 180 cellphones. They post the lost and found items on their Facebook page called Salty Scuba Chick and Salty Scuba Squad and have returned more than half of the phones so far for free.
