Men accused of starting fire that likely destroyed San Tan Valley home
Two men are facing charges after investigators said they started a fire that spread to and heavily damaged a San Tan Valley home before running off on Tuesday. According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old Sergio Contreras and 25-year-old Gerardo Contreras Chavez were seen burning weeds and trash in a vacant lot. The flames got out of control and quickly spread to a neighbor’s house, PCSO said, and is likely a complete loss.
