The rumor had suggested it for several weeks: Charles Leclerc would continue to drive for Ferrari after the 2024 season. The Monegasque was reaching the end of his contract, but the desire of the driver and his team was to continue their common adventure.

Leclerc joined Ferrari in 2019 after just one season in F1, while he had been a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy since 2016. Winner of the F2 championship in 2017, he had driven for Alfa Romeo for racing before arriving at within the Scuderia.

Winner of two Grands Prix during his first season in red, he is the cornerstone of the project now led by Frédéric Vasseur, and the understanding between the two men has certainly played a role in the desire to continue working together.
