Vivo Defence Products and companies, which is a 50:50 joint project of Serco and Engie, and its tier one contractor Henry Brothers Construction are constructing a  modern house for an explosive ordnance (bomb) disposal troop at Gamecock Barracks.

The troop is relocating from Chetwynd Barracks in Nottingham, to Gamecock Barracks in Warwickshire as portion of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation’s (DIO) defence property optimisation (DEO) programme.

The modern constructing, being built on the southern edge of the Gamecock irascible, will consist of residence for areas of work, garages and stores.

DIO programme director Warren Webster said: “Collaboration stays on the center of our transport intent, and when achieved, Gamecock Barracks will present first class explosive ordnance disposal products and companies for the central station.”

Henry Brothers Construction managing director Ian Taylor said: “Henry Brothers is extremely delighted to be persevering with the a hit relationship with Vivo Defence, which follows transport of a brand modern dye pod facility no longer too prolonged ago at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.

“This trend at Gamecock Barracks will rehome an explosive ordnance disposaltTroop – giving them modern, reason-built, stable products and companies as portion of the MoD’s investment into the defense force.
