City of Tempe passes affordable, incentivizing casita legislation for homeowners
On Thursday night, the Tempe City Council approved a measure to make it easier and cheaper for homeowners to build pre-approved casitas, otherwise known as accessory dwelling units (ADU). The detached secondary homes can be used as guest houses or to create small rental units for extra income.
