Phoenix Police officer seriously hurt while taking shoplifting suspect into custody
A Phoenix Police officer was seriously hurt while trying to take a shoplifter into custody on Tuesday afternoon. The Dec. 31 incident happened near Central and Southern avenues, the police department says.
