A “phenomenal” bass player who labored with necessary artists, in conjunction with Jamiroquai on their hit Dynamite album, has died in a five-car smash.

Hertfordshire police acknowledged Derrick McIntyre, 66, used to be pronounced useless on the scene in Bushey on 2 February.

The Watford resident had furthermore performed on albums with artists much like Emeli Sandé, Will Younger and Beverley Knight.

In a tribute posted on-line his family described the grandfather as a “phenomenal bass player”.

It added that his loss will “be felt in and all the intention by means of the track world”.
