From musical tours to the top trending TV shows, Google Trends has released a list of what was searched for most in the Phoenix area in 2023. 2023 is coming to a close and it is always interesting to learn the top trending topics of the year. \u00a0Google Trends has compiled a list\u00a0of the Phoenix-area’s top trending searches of 2023.<\/p>\n

\n

Some are surprising, like Phoenix being the only area in the United States to have “lobster roll near me” as a top search. Some, not so much, like the top trending musical tour search being Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, which she opened in Glendale.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Here’s what Maricopa searched for most:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Musical tour<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
\n

As we already mentioned, the top “tour” search for Phoenix was Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. Swift opened the world tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale back on March 17.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The tour the first tour to cross the billion-dollar mark, according to Pollstar’s 2023 year-end charts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Not only was Swift’s landmark Eras Tour the No. 1 tour both worldwide and in North America, but she also brought in a whopping $1.04 billion with 4.35 million tickets sold across 60 tour dates, the concert trade publication found.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Drake’s It’s All a Blue Tour was the second most searched in Maricopa and Beyonc\u00e9’s Renaissance World Tour came in at No. 3.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

TV Show<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

You have to go all the way back to January 2023 for the release of the most searched TV show. “The Last of Us” was the No. 1 most-searched TV show in Maricopa this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“The Last of Us,” based on the popular video game, takes place 20 years after a global pandemic destroys most of civilization, as a man (Pedro Pascal) is tasked with escorting a teenager (Bella Ramsey) out of a quarantine zone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The series, which has already been renewed for a second season, has a\u00a097% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>\u00a0and an\u00a084 on Metacritic.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“The Night Agent” was the second most-searched show in Phoenix followed by “The Golden Bachelor” and No. 3.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

‘Near me’ search<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
\n

The top “near me” search from Maricopa in 2023 is something we probably all searched several times this year. “Air quality near me” was the top search in Maricopa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The No. 2 search was “vape shop near me” and the No. 3 search, as we mentioned earlier, was “lobster roll near me.”<\/p>\n

We can’t forget about sports in the top trending searches of 2023. Maricopa residents most searched “Canelo Alvarez vs. John Ryder,” a professional boxing match fought in May 2023. The No. 2 “versus” search was “Mexico vs Japan baseball” and No. 3 was “Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermall Charlo time.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
