\"Officiel<\/p>\n

The Stake F1 Team of workers, also known as Sauber and formerly Alfa Romeo, has announced a new member to its Sauber Academy, and a new reserve driver name. This is former member of the Crimson Bull Junior Team of workers, Zane Maloney.<\/p>\n

The Barbados driver thus joins the team’s development program and will serve on several occasions as a reserve driver in parallel with his F2 program, sharing the role with Théo Pourchaire. Potentially bad news for the Frenchman, who was until now the holding reserve.<\/p>\n

“I am honored to join the Sauber Academy and become one of the reserve drivers of the Stake F1 team” <\/i> said Maloney, who will drive for Rodin Motorsport in Formula 2 (pictured below).<\/p>\n

“The Sauber name resonates with Formula 1, as he has been part of the sport for over thirty years and has paved the way for many drivers who have gone on to achieve success. I am happy to be part of this family and I “I look forward to working with her this season, as I get closer to my goal of becoming a Formula 1 driver.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Beat Zehnder, director of the Sauber Academy, welcomed this recruitment: “We are delighted to welcome Zane as the latest recruit to the academy. His journey through promotion has been remarkable so far and, with his speed and potential, he is sure to be a unique addition to our talented squad.”<\/i><\/p>\n

“In addition to his campaign in F2, where he will try to succeed Théo Pourchaire on the prize list, Zane will also share with him the role of reserve driver of the Stake F1 Team of workers. On behalf of the entire team, I warmly welcome him on board, and I look forward to working together and achieving great successes.”<\/i><\/p>\n
